    Hi,

I’m the developer of https://wordpress.org/plugins/complianz-gdpr, and I’m currently trying to add support for Geo My WP.

What I generally do with Google Maps, is block the maps scripts by replacing type=”text/javascript” with type=”text/plain”, preventing execution of scripts, thus preventing the placing of cookies. Then when the user gives consent to the cookies from Google Maps, the Complianz script fires the scripts that haven’t been executed yet.

This works for the default Maps widget, and I’ve integrated some other plugins, of which you can find an example here:
https://complianz.io/google-maps-and-gdpr-what-you-should-know/, but so far I haven’t been able to get it working with Geo My WP. I have it basically working, like you can see here:

But on consent there’s still an error message “User denied the request for Geolocation.”

Do you have an idea how we can make this integration work?

    Hello Rogier,

I am closing this topic since we are now communicating via email.
