In response to your questions:
I can now get the map to do a search without it throwing up an error, however addresses added to a users xprofile still don’t update on the mapping side of things. Also, the browsers request to detect the visitors location fails with: ‘Geocoder failed due to: REQUEST_DENIED’.
My client really needs to get this site in full working order, so any prompt help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
I’m still getting the REQUEST_DENIED message whenever I try to do a search or update a users location.
Any chance that someone could help me addresss this issue today, please?August 11, 2016 at 2:24 am in reply to: Can WP User Geolocation search according to wp profile role? #53600
I actually meant to show more than one user role (eg show only ‘editor’ & ‘subscriber’ roles but exclude all others).August 11, 2016 at 2:12 am in reply to: Can WP User Geolocation search according to wp profile role? #53599
Sorry for tagging on to an existing thread….
How can we use this code to exclude more than one user role?
If I click any of the roles to exclude and then press save, the page reloads and all the boxes are unchecked again.
Likewise, if I exist the form and return to it, no roles are selected.
This is really not looking good.
So, I updated to the latest version of the exclude members plugin eg version 1.2.2. Now the form displays on the page however the filtering is not working properly at all.
So say for example I exclude no roles/members, I get all users as expected. Now if I change one of the users to have the ‘Author’ / ‘Editor’ or ‘Contributor’ role, and then exclude all other roles from the GEOmyWP search, I get no results.
This plugin just isn’t working at all, and I had to pay for it. Please look into this asap as it is seriously causing issues with the project I am working on, and it’s been more than 24 hours since I started this thread and I’ve not had a response from support.
Care to share how you managed to exclude users? I can’t get the exclude members plugin to work, and I’ve not yet had a response from the support here.
Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.February 29, 2016 at 11:53 pm in reply to: Excluding a user breaks the layout and look of the form #50918
It would appear that we have the same issue: https://geomywp.com/forums/topic/excluding-most-roles-stops-form-loading/#post-50917
Did you ever get a resolution to this? It seems that the support people stop responding to you and without you being able to fix the situation. It’d be great to know what you did about this, did you switch to another plugin?
It sounds like I am experiencing the same issue as described here: https://geomywp.com/forums/topic/excluding-a-user-breaks-the-layout-and-look-of-the-form/
However, it looks like that user never got a resolution to her issue, and there was no follow up from the support staff here at GEOmyWP.
Unfortunately, we’ve just taken over the development of the site and although the client has a valid license the old developers are not being very helpful and aren’t currently passing over the required account details that technically belong to my client (A UK charitable heritage organisation).
Is there anything that you can do to help us out with this situation?
