    Hello,

I would like to be able to add styles to the Members Directory map – changing the colours of the streets etc. How do I go about this?

Also, how can I disable zooming in?

    Best regards,
    Neil

I feel like the mdMapArgs or mdMapObject could be used???

Could I override the styles with some jquery like? What would I use as a hook?

Is Members Directory map using Google maps v2?

If it is using v2, is there somehow I can use:

    "map.disableScrollWheelZoom();"

    Many thanks!

Ok, so, in the absence a solution, this seems to work on all browsers except <IE11.

    Hello Neil,
I apologize for missing out your post.

At the moment, the easiest way would be to edit the core file. I know that it is not recommended. However, the next major version of GEO my WP ( version 3.0 ) will have a filter that will allow to easily modify the map options.

The JavaScript file that you should edit is gmw-members-directory/assets/js/map.min.js. However, this is a minified version. So what you need to do is open the file
    gmw-members-directory/assets/js/map.js
copy its content and paste it into map.min.js. Then you should add your changes to map.min.js and save it when done.

The map options are between lines 11 to 16.

There you can add any of the map options provided by Google Maps V3.

Let me know if that helps.

    Hi Eyal,
Thanks for getting back to me and explaining how to update that. That makes sense to me and, more important, works!

    Cheers,
    Neil
